Event Overview
The Seeds of Change Campaign After-School Club Launch was an initiative by Cohort 2 of the 2025 Discipleship Programme under the Bloomers Seeds of Change Project. The event focused on establishing a sustainable after-school club at St Charity School to address limited extracurricular opportunities, provide safe and structured after-school spaces, and support students’ personal development. The club was launched on 29 November 2025 using the Leadership & Life Skills programme design.
Objectives
Establish a sustainable after-school club at St Charity School.
Provide safe, structured after-school spaces for students.
Implement the Leadership & Life Skills programme to support identity formation, self-confidence, and life skills.
Develop and launch a programme aligned with the provided curriculum.
Conduct teacher training to support continuity of the club.
Raise awareness and mobilise resources to support the club launch.





Key Outcomes
- The after-school club was successfully launched at St Charity School on 29 November 2025.
- Leadership & Life Skills was implemented as the programme design.
- Attendance included six Cohort 2 participants, one Discipleship Programme leader, two Bloomers Community volunteers, three teachers, approximately 75 students, and two guest speakers.
- K10,037 was raised towards the estimated K39,925 required for the launch.
- K6,710 (67%) of the funds raised were spent on launch-related materials and activities, with K3,327 (33%) remaining.
- Students participated in breakout sessions and creative presentations including skits, poems, songs, rap performances, and reflections.
Impact & Sustainability
The launch laid the foundation for a sustainable after-school club at St Charity School focused on leadership development, self-confidence, identity formation, and life skills. Sustainability of the club will be overseen by the Amariah Initiative, with plans to equip teachers to facilitate the programme independently. Ongoing monitoring, teacher training, and continued resource mobilisation are planned to strengthen long-term impact. St Charity School has committed to integrating the Seeds of Change Campaign into its weekly schedule.
